This Privacy Policy describes how Nikolabot (the "App", "we", "us") handles your information. We designed the App to keep personal data to a minimum and to store only what is required to make the features work. By using the App you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to provide the App's features:
- Account information. If you sign in with Apple or with email/password, we receive your Apple-provided email address (or relay address) and a unique account identifier. If you choose to continue as a Guest, an anonymous Firebase user ID is generated on-device.
- Saved content and preferences. Generated robot reports, your language preference, and similar app settings are stored under your account so they are available the next time you open the App. No real name, phone number, or physical location is required.
- Chat messages. Messages you send to the in-app AI specialists are forwarded to our AI provider to generate a response. We do not use your messages to train any model.
- Purchase and subscription records. When you subscribe to Nikolabot Pro, Apple provides us a signed transaction receipt which we verify on our server to activate your entitlement. Apple also notifies our server when a subscription renews, expires, is cancelled or is refunded, so that your access stays accurate. We do not see or store your payment card details.
- Technical diagnostics. Apple may share aggregated crash and performance reports with us if you opted in at the iOS level. These reports are not linked to your identity.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide the features you request (signing in, browsing the robot database, chatting with the AI specialists, generating reports, processing subscriptions).
- To keep your Nikolabot Pro entitlement in sync across devices and accurate as your subscription renews, lapses or is refunded.
- To diagnose crashes and improve reliability.
- To respond when you contact support.
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any cross-app tracking.
3. Service Providers
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the App:
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, in-app purchases and subscriptions, App Store server notifications, App Store services.
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Hosting, App Check) — account management, server-side logic, content delivery and abuse prevention.
- DeepSeek — large-language-model inference for the AI specialist chat, robot reports and the daily news brief. Your messages are sent to DeepSeek to generate replies; conversations are not used to train any model.
Each provider operates under its own privacy policy. We share only the minimum information required for each feature.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
Your account and saved results are kept while your account is active. You can delete your account — and with it all linked data — from the Account screen inside the App, or by contacting us (see Section 8). Purchase records required for tax and audit purposes may be retained in line with applicable law.
5. Security
All communication between the App and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS. Server-side data is stored in Google Firebase, which provides encryption at rest. Purchases are validated using Apple's signed JWS receipts.
6. Children
Nikolabot is rated 9+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Your Choices
- You can use the App as a Guest — no email or Apple ID required.
- You can sign out, delete your account, or restore your purchases from the Account screen at any time.
- You can disable diagnostics in iOS Settings → Privacy → Analytics.

9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the App after such updates means you accept the revised policy.
